TGI Friday Copycat Jack Daniels Sauce



1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

2/3 cup water

1 cup pineapple juice (preferably fresh)

¼ cup teriyaki sauce

1 tbsp soy sauce

1 1/3 cup dark brown sugar

1 tbsp minced fresh garlic

3 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice

3 tbsp chopped Vidalia onion

1 tbsp Jack Daniels whiskey

1 tbsp crushed pineapple (preferably fresh)

¼ tsp cayenne pepper



In a medium sauce pot, over medium high heat, mix the water, pineapple juice, teriyaki, soy sauce and brown sugar. Bring the mixture to a boil and stir occasionally. Reduce the heat to simmer.


Add the garlic, onion, lemon juice, whiskey, crushed pineapple and pepper. Let the sauce simmer for 40-50 minutes or until reduced by half and thick.


Great on fish, chicken or beef.
