1 large honeydew melon
1 large cantaloupe
¼ lb thinly sliced prosciutto
red leaf lettuce leaves
Prepare a fruit bowl: cut a very thin slice off the bottom of the honeydew melon, so that it sits flat. Insert a knife at a 45° angle into the rind slightly above the middle of the melon. Push the knife all the way through to the center. Continue in this manner around the whole melon, cutting in a saw tooth pattern. Lift the top off and remove the seeds.
Use a melon baller to scoop out the fruit and set aside.
Cut the cantaloupe, remove the seeds and use the melon baller to scoop the fruit. Set aside.
Cut the prosciutto into strips. Wrap 1 strip around each melon ball and fasten with a toothpick.
Line the honeydew with the red leaf lettuce and then fill it with the wrapped melon balls.
