Chicken Rice Supper

¼ cup butter

1/3 cup flour

1 ½ tsp salt

1/8 tsp pepper

1 ½ cup milk

1 cup chicken broth

2 cups chicken, cut up

1 ½ cup wild rice

1/3 cup chopped green pepper

1 cup sliced mushrooms

Preheat the oven to 350°

Heat the butter in a 2qt saucepan until melted. Stir in the flour, salt and pepper. Cook over low heat stirring constantly until bubbly. Remove from the heat.

Stir in the milk and the broth. Return to heat and bring to a boil. Stir for 1 minute and add the remaining ingredients.

Pour into an ungreased 2qt casserole dish. Bake uncovered for 40-45 minutes. The casserole should be bubbly when ready.
