Bacon Wrapped Water Chestnuts Makes 36

Preheat the oven to 400°


4 can of whole water chestnuts, drained

¼ cup of lite soy sauce

¼ cup of sugar

1lb center cut bacon, cut into 2-3” strips


Marinate the water chestnuts in soy sauce for 30 minutes. Cut the bacon into ½” x 4” strips. Roll each chestnut in sugar, then wrap with a piece of bacon securing with a toothpick.


Place on a foil cookie sheet and bake for 20 minutes or until the bacon is crisp. Watch carefully, making sure the sugar does not burn on the bottom of the pan.
