White Wine Cake

1 (15.25oz) box moist white cake mix, plus 1/3 cup of cake flour or cake mix

1 (5oz) box instant vanilla pudding mix

1 tsp ground nutmeg

¾ cup vegetable oil

¾ cup white wine

4 eggs


Preheat the oven to 350°


Grease and flour a 10" fluted cake pan. Set aside


In a large bowl combine the cake mix, the 1/3 cup of flour or mix, instant pudding mix, nutmeg, vegetable oil, white wine and eggs. Beat with an electric mixer for 4-5 minutes.


Pour into the prepared cake pan and bake for 50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.


Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes and remove to a wire rack to cool completely.


Garnish with confectioner's sugar. Serve with fresh strawberries and whipped cream if desired.
