Old Fashioned Pancakes Serves 12

2 ½ cups all purpose flour

2 tbsp baking powder

2 tsp salt

1 ½ tbsp granulated sugar

2 cup milk

2 eggs, beaten

1/3 cup butter, melted


In a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking soda, salt and sugar. Make a well in the center and pour the milk, egg and melted butter; mix until smooth.


Heat a lightly oiled griddle over medium high heat. Pour or ladle the batter onto the griddle, using approximately ¼ cup for each pancake. Brown on both sides and serve hot with warm Maple syrup.
