1 loaf brioche bread
2 cups light brown sugar
1 stick butter
2 cups whole milk
1 tbsp Vanilla extract
Butter a 13 x 9 baking dish and set aside.
Cut the bread into triangles.
In a small saucepot, melt the butter and the brown sugar. Cook and stir until the mixture is thick and brown.
In a large bowl, whisk the eggs, vanilla and milk.
Spread the brown sugar mixture onto the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
Layer the bread in the prepared baking dish. Layer by leaning each triangle, long side down against one another. Like a fanned out deck of cards.
Pour the egg mixture over the bread and top with an even amount of strawberries and blueberries. Refrigerate overnight.
Preheat oven to 450º
Bake the casserole for 30 minutes or until golden brown. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve.
