Crispy Corn

2 slices bread, cubed

1/3 cup chopped onion

1 10oz can whole kernel corn

1 11oz can cream style corn

½ cup milk

1 tsp sugar

1 tsp salt

¼ tsp black pepper

1 cup rice crispy cereal

2 tbsp butter, melted



Preheat the oven to 350°


Grease a 2qt casserole dish and set aside.


In a large bowl combine the bread cubes and onion. Add the whole corn, creamed corn, and milk.


Season with the sugar, salt and pepper. Stir to combine. Add to the prepared baking dish.


In a small bowl toss the cereal with the melted butter and sprinkle over the top of the corn mixture.


Bake uncovered for 45 minutes.
