1 cup butter, softened
2 cups sugar
2 large eggs
2 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
2 tsp cinnamon
2 granny smith apples, peeled and diced
1 cup Kraft Caramel Bits
3 tbsp chilled butter, sliced
1/3 cup brown sugar
½ tsp cinnamon
3 tbsp flour
Preheat oven to 350º
Butter a 9 x 13 glass casserole dish and set aside.
With an electric mixer, in a large bowl, mix the butter and sugar until creamy. Add the eggs one at a time until blended.
Add the flour, baking powder and cinnamon. Once mixed, fold in the apples.
Spoon the batter into the prepared baking dish. Evenly top with the caramel bits and press slightly into the batter.
In a small bowl, mix all the topping ingredients together until crumbly. Spread evenly over the top of the batter.
Bake for 45 minutes or until lightly browned.
