Candy Bar Fudge

½ cup butter

1/3 cup cocoa powder

¼ cup brown sugar, packed

¼ cup whole milk

3 ½ cup confectioner’s sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

30 caramels, unwrapped

1 tbsp water

2 cups salted peanuts

½ cup semi sweet chocolate chips

½ cup milk chocolate chips

Grease an 8 x 8 baking pan and set aside.

Ina small saucepan over medium heat, combine the butter, cocoa, brown sugar and milk. Cook until the mixture comes to a boil, stirring frequently.

Remove from the heat and add the powdered sugar and the vanilla. Pour into the prepared pan.

In a microwaveable bowl, microwave the caramels and water until the caramels melt. Add the peanuts and spread over the chocolate layer in the pan.

Place the chocolate chips in a microwaveable bowl and microwave until melted and smooth. Spread over the caramel layer and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until firm before cutting into 1-2 inch squares.
