Sautéed Apples Serves 8

¼ cup butter

4 large Granny Smith Apples, peeled, cored and sliced ¼” thick

2 tsp cornstarch

½ cup cold water

½ cup packed brown sugar

¾ tsp cinnamon


In a large skillet melt the butter over medium heat and add the apples. Cook until the apples are almost tender, stirring constantly.


Dissolve the cornstarch in the water and add to the skillet. Add the brown sugar and cinnamon and stir. Boil for 2 minutes, stirring frequently. Remove from the heat and serve warm.



Great side to pork dishes.
