Creamy Tomato Soup with Basil & Sausage Serves 8

3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

1 lb Premio ground Italian sausage

16 fresh basil leaves, stacked, rolled and thinly sliced

2 26oz jars of Mezzetta Italian sauce

2 ½ cup water

3 cups Half & Half

salt & pepper to taste

In a large pot heat the olive oil and cook the sausage until browned. Breaking it apart into smaller pieces while you cook.

Stir in the fresh basil, pasta sauce, water, half & half and salt & pepper.

Cook until heated through. Serve with warm bread.
